What we collect, why, and on what basis
Launch mailing list. When you sign up, we store your email address, the exact consent text you ticked, the time of consent, and a salted hash of your IP address (used only for rate-limiting; the raw IP is never stored). Lawful basis: consent — GDPR Art. 6(1)(a). Purpose: send you one email when Traffel opens. You can withdraw at any time at /unsubscribe.
Contact form. When you send a message, we store your name, email, message, the acknowledgement text shown, and the same salted IP hash. Lawful basis: legitimate interest in handling inbound enquiries — GDPR Art. 6(1)(f). The legitimate interest is the obvious one: someone wrote to us, we need their contact details and message to reply. We've assessed the impact on the data subject as minimal because (a) the data is provided voluntarily for this exact purpose, (b) it's used only to reply, and (c) it's deleted promptly (see retention).
Cookies. We set a single cookie — traffel-consent — to remember your choice on the cookie banner. We load Plausible analytics only if you've accepted. We don't use trackers, fingerprinting, advertising IDs, or any cross-site identifiers. There is no other cookie.
Retention
- Launch mailing list: kept until the launch announcement email has been sent, after which the entire table is deleted.
- Contact submissions: deleted when the matter is handled, or six months after receipt, whichever comes first.
- Plausible analytics: Plausible holds anonymous, aggregated page-view counts. No retention applies on our side because we hold no personal data from analytics.
Your rights under GDPR
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent. To exercise any of them, email info@traffel.com. We respond within the statutory one-month window.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, aki.ee) or with the supervisory authority in your own EU member state.
How to remove yourself
- Launch list: visit /unsubscribe, enter the email you signed up with, press the button. Done — idempotent and instant.
- Contact submission: email us at info@traffel.com referencing the message; we'll delete the record.
